Here we go again. I’ve been doing some larger gauge knitting since all of the sock knitting has been wrecking havoc on my RSI. I did finish a Simple Yet Effective Shawl out of left over bits of hand dyed yarns, alpaca/blends, and the beautiful handspun that Faith sent me.
Here is a picture on a 70″ table for size perspective.

A picture of it still pinned to the bed.

And a close up.

It was simple and I really like the way that it turned out! I used some wine/burgandy colored Lamb’s Pride Worsted (I lost the ball band) to crochet the edge on and draw all of the colors together.
I can see myself using this pattern again.

Wow.. this is beautiful,I love the colors. How long did it take to finish.. I have not done a shawl yet.. Do you think this would be a good first shawl project? I have been knitting for 3 years off and on and just finished my third pair of socks. I Just found your blog and I am enjoying seeing your FO’s.

That turned out really pretty. Who will be the lucky person to cozy up on a cool night with it?

It was a great and easy project. It only took me about 3 days to finish! I think that this would be a great first shawl because it’s really only a 2 row repeat. It made for great t.v. knitting!
