Things have been hectic around here lately. There has been very little knitting and any knitting done has been of the baby persuasion. I will be posting pictures of the finished projects soon

not a new knitting pattern, but a pattern of finish-itis. I am going to make it a point to finish some of the projects that I have on the needles. This means that I will either finish knitting these things or accept the fact that I am never going to finish them and take them off of the needles and reclaim the yarn.

So, the question is what do I have on the needles right now?

3 sweaters: (rogue, KITOW, and lift and separate)

4 pair of socks (noro stripes (50% done), braided rice, entrelac, and jacobean socks)

1 pair of mittens (turkish I believe)

1 baby bunting

2 lace shawls (ene’s scarf and claire’s shawl (the shawl formerly known as Amanda’s Mystery Shawl) )

1 chemo cap (70% done)
1 pair beaded arm warmers (75% done)
1 crocheted log cabin afghan (must at least make it to baby blanket size before I allow myself to call it finished…or admit that it’s a failure)

That is 14 UFOs!! That being said, I do reserve the right to start presents for other people and a pair of Noro socks before I finish these projects, but other than that…no new projects until these are done!!

same in both F and C). Feel your fingers curl up? They want mittens!
3. Every size, from infant to grandparent, is needed.
4. You do NOT have to make 8 pairs — shipments of 2 or 3 or 5 will not be
rejected! You only have to make 8 pairs if you want to enter the contest for
prizes.
5. Mail the last week in September, so there’s a veritable avalanche of
mittens from all over the country, and they get there just as they’re about
to be needed.

I love knitting mittens (ok, except the thumbs) so I’ll try to turn out a couple of pair during charity knits this summer.

What is your favorite summertime drink??

I would have to say it is the saltless margarita. A beautiful lime margarita with no salt on the rim. Unfortunately, I get to have one every two or three months so I usually have margaritas once a summer. That doesn’t stop me from having it as a favorite, right?

I’ve got UFOs coming out of the woodwork. I originally said I had 14 then I discovered there were 15 (and I finished one) and this morning I discovered another one! I was actually working in my home office and found a pair of baby socks that I cast on spontaneously from the big glass jar of sock yarn leftovers that sit on my desk. That means that I am back up to 15. Now we’ll see if I find anymore projects!
