Working on the White Paper

This week your primary work will be to work on your first draft of the white paper. On Tuesday, you should submit your annotated bibliography. Instructions for submitting this part of the project are located on the Week 5 page and the White Paper Project page. All of the work that you have for this week will be creating a draft of your white paper, which is due on Friday by 11:59 pm. This draft will not be graded but you will receive comments and further instructions on how to revise the white paper.

Introduction to White Paper Project

I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th weekend and that you are all ready to get to work on the white paper project.

Week Three :: Reminders and Information

On Friday your Employment Project is due. Be sure to read the instructions on the calendar carefully so that you submit your project in the correct form.

Also, if you have questions for me, please remember to email me rather than sending me a message on the site. I haven't been getting all of the site messages and this will ensure that your questions are answered.

Next week we will be beginning the white paper project. I will put you in groups based on the interests that you express in your blog entries. Check the Week Three calendar page for more information.

Week Two Instructor's Blog Part One

Welcome to Week 2 of our online class. I've been reading through job search activities and reading responses, posting comments randomly. Mostly, I have been checking to be sure that everyone is completing the assignments fully and achieving the goals expected for this course. A few things that I'd like to mention, which may or may not apply to some of you:

A Successful Start to the Class

After reading many of your blog entries and responses, I'm excited to see how well the class is going already. Many of you seem to be thinking and working ahead, which is good to see, especially in an online class. I'll be reading through your Job Search Activities and responding this weekend. I know that there was a bit of confusion regarding differences in the calendar and the information on the Employment Project page. However, I believe that most of these have been corrected, and it looks like most everyone is on the right page.
