Pandering to the Masses

Many times, when you are required to write a user-report, white paper, or other type of business document, you are forced to over-explain or even "dumb down" your document. This is a perfectly normal and natural thing that we all must endure. You will usually have more experience in your topic than your reader (otherwise, why would they even be reading it?) so you must put it in terms that they can understand. It's much better to give too much explanation than not enough.
