Work Blog Week 8

This week was the final week for both the Service Learning Project as well as the Business Writing class. In order to finish out the week I had to complete my revisions for the final submission of the Service Learning Project, critique the work of other group members, and compile the final review documents. In order to complete my final revision, I reviewed the comments left by that of the Crisis Center staff who reviewed our group’s project as well as the feedback presented by group members. After reviewing comments and kicking around ideas that I did and did not like, I made changes that I felt would better suit the Crisis Center and its needs.

The modifications were really to that of the imagery I selected to represent the design of the document as the general idea was well received. I also modified some text at the request of my group members, as we attempted to make our documents seem as if they flow together. After completing my own document I stated to review the work of others within the group. After the initial review from the Crisis Center staff there was much to change so all members had quite a bit of work in front of them. I was pleased with the revisions, as some members were able to modify their current ideas, while others had to completely scrap their old ideas and develop new ones. Finally, to round out the week I completed the project assessment documents which evaluated both the project as well as the group. I found these documents useful as I was able to better reflect on the work our group had completed.
