Obergfell Work Blog Week 8

For the final draft I had to make only a few changes. I had to change the color and position of the text that I used. A lot of comments were directed towards the text color. They said it may be too hard to read if it were printed out on paper. After taking a second look, I agreed. Also, I changed my portion of the project from a flier to a poster. A lot of my peers brought it to my attention that printing this much color for fliers could be a little overboard. I did not want to loose the colors, so I decided a poster would be a better choice.

Obergfell Corporate Revision

Attached is a copy of my Corporate Communication Project Revised.

Press Release:
I had a few grammatical errors to correct. I removed a hyper-link as well.

Letter:
This too had a few grammatical errors that needed to be corrected. I also had a hyper-link to remove. I also had to reword a few sentences due to the "tense" that they were written.

Thank you for taking another look at my project.

Obergfell Work Blog Week 7

This week was kind of hectic for me. I was out of town for a portion of it so I did not have a lot of internet access. I did have an opportunity to read Professor Ghering's comments and others about my first draft. I had to make a few changes, but for the most part I seemed to be on the right track with my flier design. I had to redo some of the part do to the font type that I used. Most of the comments said using to many different font styles is probably not a good idea. After taking another look at my draft, I agree 100%. I change the fonts and it made the flier more legible and simple.

Obergfell Work Blog Week #6

This week was a very productive one. Our group finally got into the swing of things as far as communication goes. We were fairly quick about getting back to one and other about comments, review, or questions. The only problem we had was that we started communicating a lot the day the project was due. I think maybe we should start connected earlier to ensure we utilize our project and make more changes before we turn it in. We split the project up into four sections (the four deliverable items), so the work load was pretty even.

RR #6

Our group did a very good job when it came to variety. We purposely chose to create different types of deliverable materials in order to reach more people. We had a flier that is good for a quick glance to make you aware of the crisis center and how to reach it. We also had a couple of brochures made in our group that were packed full of information. On top of those, one thing we made was a magnet. This would act as a constant reminder that the crisis center is there.

Obergfell-Employment Project Revision

I present to you my revised employment project. Let me go over with you a few of the changes made.

Letter:
-This time I am actually addressing a person rather than an anonymous being.
-I redirected my first paragraph from telling them how they can benefit me, to how I may benefit them.
-Broke up the body paragraph to make it more professional.
-Made a few grammar corrections and added a signature at the end.
-Changed last sentence from waiting to hear from you to telling him I would follow up in a week

Resume:

Obergfell Work Blog Week # 5

After receiving our groups on Tuesday, Thadd posted his contact info right away where it listed group member. I shortly followed up by posting mine. Without hearing anything from anyone for a couple of days, I went ahead and emailed everyone to try to get the ball rolling on the project. I suggested that we create a facebook group as another form of communication, so we could post things for all to read instead of filling everyone's mailbox. Grabrelle was quick to create the group and track down everyone to invite them to the group.

This image of the Batman Begins movie poster has a couple defining characteristics. The alignment of the pictures behind the text seems to make your eyes read the title and follow the images all the way back to the main character of the movie.
