Week 7: Outline Revisions, Brainstorming, and Rough Draft
We are now in the late week 6/early week 7 stage, and the project has progressed past the hardest part, in my opinion--getting started. Joel created a very nice spreadsheet (on Google Docs I might add) with a rough outline of the paper. On Saturday 7.18.08 at 2:30 pm CST, the group met via AIM chatroom to discuss the outline and edit it all at the same time.
The online meeting was a bit unproductive at first because we tried to discuss everything by typing it. However, once we all realized we could see the changes being made in the outline as we were making them, the outline took better shape. After we were all pretty satisfied with the new outline, we split up sections and set a regrouping time of 11:00 pm CST on AIM to put all the sections together and discuss the project.
All group members finished their sections on time with sources cited--great job group 1! We decided on an overall document design as a group at our second AIM chatroom meeting, and all sections were given to Joel, who volunteered to do the final editing. All group members are available and willing to answer questions as they arise during Joel's final editing.
Group 1 is on the way.
