Great job on your resume and cover letter RWesley! First off, your cover letter was very direct and gets your point across to the employers. It is very professional and tells the employers exactly what they want to hear. You did a great job elaborating on your job that familiarized you with the caterpillar motors, which will make you stand out to the employer. The only minor detail that you should change is making sure your font type is the same throughout the letter. Next, I think your resume is straightforward and easy to read. It is very well organized! I especially like how you bolded your previous jobs to make them stand out. An easy suggestion that you can do is use the same heading for your cover letter that you used for your resume to make them uniform and structured. Overall, I believe your resume and cover letter will make you stand out as a qualified and professional individual. Best of luck on your revisions!

First off I would like to complement you on putting together a very professional looking cover letter and resume. I like the way that you state in your cover letter the skills that would be an asset to the company. If I was hiring someone I would find this very helpful when doing a first sort of the resumes. I also found your resume to be organized and easy to read. It was very easy to locate information on there which is a real time saver. One thing that I did notice is that the objective stated that you were looking for an internship but your cover letter sounded like you wanted a full time job. Overall a job well done.

Overall, content looked good. I had problem opening your resume. The formatting on the table pulled it apart and made it two pages long. I'm using Office 2007, so maybe try opening it on another computer and see how it works.

I think your name should be at the very top and not below your addresses. I also think you should label which addy is your current/permanent, as I wouldn't know which one to send it to immediately, and I think an potential employer wouldn't want to guess.

List your full degree under eduacation (i.e. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Technology). The formatting for your graduation date 5/10, should match the rest of your dates (05/2010).

Your cover letter is good, but I would add a little more detail. The teamwork point reads a littel akwardly, and I would suggest chaning it to something along the lines of "In my previous job, working in teams on ____ (list specific examples) enhanced my teamwork abilities." I think in general, you have room to add a little more detail in your cover letter. Filling that quarter page at the bottom with strong evidence backing up what you have to offer would make your cover letter that much stronger.

Hope this helps.
