This brochure was interesting to me only for the reason that I had heard some information about RFID chips in the past, but didn't necessarily know how they worked. This brochure attacks that very question on the first page and in addition provides other information about the RFID chips and their applications. I would say at first glance it is not an eye catcher, there is a picture on the middle page that stands out and from a distance you can't really tell what it is, so maybe that would lure people on the basis that they wanted to solve the mystery.
The brochure obtains alignment by keeping the headers and bulleted sections the same throughout on the first and third page, each containing paragraphs describing the chip in an ordered manner. It gives the brochure a balanced feel and produces context because of the break on this middle page. A picture on the middle page provides this break and achieves contrast in a second dimension by adding another color. This not only breaks the first and third pages full of information, but it provides some eye candy to grab the reader's attention. This makes the brochure easy to follow in regards to finding information, because it is clear where the text is weighted and where the visual elements are relevant.
Overall, I would say this brochure is strong in the areas of organization as well as purely from an information standpoint. All or most of the questions one would have about the product are answered. I would say though that it could be less bland with the addition of more color. I believe though, the overall goal was to keep this as professional and academic as possible, which they acheived.

I agree that it could use more color. They use lots of shades of black and gray and the only color is the image. They did do a good job of organizing the info as you said, but they should have made the titles of the different sections stand out more. I feel like they are lost because they are gray. The body of text itself stands out more than the titles do.

This brochure is definitely packed full of text and little color, but I do agree that overall it achieves the goal of being professional and giving information in a relatively concise, clearly organized way. One thing that I think really stood out to me is the breakdown of the information that is stored on the chip and the code number. Considering I had no idea what the number was or what this chip was for, I felt that this breakdown helped to make at least some sense of these random numbers. This was an effective use of a break from the straight text that dominates the brochure.

When I first look at this brochure I think what is that object am looking at right in the middle of this. It made me want to read the information to find out. They new this would look good by putting it in the middle. Along with it making you want to read it, they also make it look very professional. The document is very symmetrical and good colors in order to give off the professional look. The information they give is also very clear and concise. My favorite part of this document would have to be how they keep it simple and clear so the reader can understand what they are reading.

When first looking at the brochure, it is pretty boring and don't know why anybody would want to read about it. It has a grey monotone background and is not colorful at all. It is full or text and is not really broken down into sections. The brochure is very professional looking and does contain all the information you need about the chip and how to break down the numbers, but I think they are trying to squeeze too much stuff in to the little space they have. I do like the chip on the middle panel and how it breaks up the sections on both the right and left side of it. One recommendation I would have is to change the way the headings are done and make the colors contrast more, so you know where the next section starts.
Overall it is a nice looking brochure that is very simple and odes not have a lot of color going on. It makes it very clean looking, but I don't like the fact that there is so much text on the 3 panels.

I agree that the brochure is full of information and little color. The information is professional and informative. They just need to find a way to cut it in half and add graphics. The thing about brochures, especially tri-fold brochures, is to inform people of the basics and hook them into wanting more information, not to try to tell them everything you know about a subject all at once. Pictures and short detailed information is what draws people to people up brochures and flip through them.

I thought this brochure was very ugly and unappealing. The brochure is full of information and little color. Although the information listed seems professional and very informative, the design of the layout is very bad. I also thought that use of more color could improve somewhat for this brochure. I really didn't like the gray background either. If I were a client for them, I wouldn't even try to read this brochure. This brochure is boring and very long to read.

When first looking at this brochure, I was confused and had trouble digesting the inforamation and dechiphering what the intent of the brochure is. There is far too much text in the space alotted, and that makes it hard for a reader. At a glance, the reader will most likely be turned away from the brochure since they cannot spot read the document. When a consumer can spot read, they can gather the information quickly, while still pulling out the important information. Also, more color would help the brochure. It would break up then monotiny of the text, as well as diverting the eyes to the the most important information. It is quite an interesting brochure though!
love always,

I agree at first glance this brochure is not an eye catcher, the image in the middle of the page is blurred and I didn't think it was a microchip from my first impression. I don't know anything about RFID Chips but by reading this brochure I got a brief introduction. I agree the content is well organized giving answers to questions that readers maybe curious about. I think this brochure can be improved by adding a little more color so it is not as boring visually. But I think it gets the job done if your seeking information about these chips.
