Rading Response Week 7

Appeal to Emotions: I believe that our brochure is lacking a little in that it does not evoke as much emotion as it could. The message that we send should, in some way, provide emotion to the reader. This emotion should make them want to read on and become involved in the production of TTG. There has to be an appeal to a certain group for the emotion to come through. Our brochure scores a (-) for the category of emotions.

Kennedy Work Blog- Week #5

I was assigned to group #1 for the service learning project. We have been communicated via email which seems to work effectively. Everyone has been open-minded to being assigned to the tasks at hand. I took over the role of assigning the tasks to everyone in the group through evaluation of the requests that the group members had concerning their participation in the project. The assignment of the tasks went relatively smooth, as everyone was good with the final division of tasks. After deciding who was suited for each task, I placed their names into the Gantt Chart.

Reading Response Week 5

I obtained a brochure for the Ski and Snowboard Shows 2007 from http://www.bayareasnowshow.com/pdfs/2007/9-2%20BRO%2007.pdf. Just by glancing at this brochure I was able to pick out several design principles that were discussed in the text. The example of proximity if fairly trivial in this brochure. The text talks about skiing and snowboarding while the main graphic (and supporting graphics) are composed of a skier. The principle of alignment has been kept consistent which leads to a brochure that looks both clean and professional.

I located a clip of a group of guys who were trying to fly from JFK in New York to Sacramento, CA. The video is posted on Youtube, http://youtube.com/watch?v=SOo-tG9q2h0.

The main audience I am addressing is people affected by the JetBlue situation. I hope to include all JetBlue customers because leaving them out could make them feel as they are not wanted as customers. I want to leave an impression that ALL JetBlue customers are important, while being sure to call out and sympathize with those directly involved in the fiasco.

Resume Extravaganza

ajkenned's picture

I have chosen resumes #1, #4, #5, #8, and #16. As I read the resumes, I tried to keep in mind that there where 16 resumes to read. With this said, the objective statement was a very important factor in which resumes I picked. I feel that the resumes I selected all have a strong objective. When I read the objective statement I immediately went to find related experience to the position they were applying. The above resumes all seemed to have ample experience for the position to which they applied.
