Wilson: SSINFO Process Description

Hey, group:

Attached is a PDF of my SSINFO project. I realize that there are a few tweaks that still need to be made, but I'd appreciate whatever feedback you all can give me.

In particular, I want feedback as to whether or not this is too long. My idea was to put this in a welcome packet of sorts for new students. Do you think it's too long? Do I need more images? Fewer?

You can leave your feedback in the comments section of this. I'll post my PMU brochure shortly.

Thanks,
Erin

OMG, this is awesome. I like

OMG, this is awesome. I like how you've separated the processes you're describing by titling them with questions. And everything is organized and to the point.

I really like your pamphlet! I think the content is really good. It was easy to follow, and would be very helpful if I were new to SSINFO.

One the one thing that I did notice was that it got a little wordy at times. Thus, making it a little hard to read. Specifically in the Can I Show My Schedule on a Grid? and the Can I Print My Class Schedule? sections. I think it might help a bit if just say something like "Yes. To show your schedule in grid form click on the..... and click refresh."

Other than that, I thought the length seemed good, and I thought that you had the right amount of visuals.

Let me know if you need anything else!

wonderful

This is absolutely wonderful. You have an A in the bag.

This looks great. You asked if it's too long, the short answer would be yes and no. If it's being used strictly for informational purposes, then I would say it is not long enough, because it does not include all aspects of the website. This is not your purpose, so I wouldn't worry about it. However, I am perceiving this in a somewhat conversational tone, and notice that it is a "best of" compilation. This is very user friendly, but as far as putting it in a welcome packet, it might be too much. As we know, college kids have ten second attention spans, and I did feel myself skimming at parts because the visuals are so linear. I understood by the pictures where you were going with it, which is good and bad I guess. (Maybe it's only because I'm familiar with the subject.) I especially liked the visuals with the lines being drawn to an explanational text; this helped eliminate white space and enhance the images. I think it works just the way it is.
