Andrew Swart - Reading Response #3

As someone else already mentioned this text seems to read more like a textbook than a helpful brochure. In order to make this document more readable by the broad range of audience that she is trying to inform I would recommend that she uses more of an outline approach and more pictures. If the custodians have a hard time with reading then pictures would be the best solution for that problem. Although not everything could be communicated this way, probably most of the important ways to spot scorpians and recognize them could be illustrated with pictures. The document mentions using a blacklight to spot scorpians and says that they can range in size from 3/8 to 8 1/2 inches in length. Under pictures of a blacklight or different size scorpians she could put captions that explain the picture breifly. The pictures wouldn't be to hard to find either, with the help of Google images she would be through this document in no time.
