Service Learning Project Update

Group 1 sent in some excellent questions for the client; so, rather than have each of you contact her for the same information I will post the answers here. I've also attached a new image (the Soup and Bread Logo .jpg) on the project page.

From Jane: Some of this information is an educated guess as we have not finalized all the pieces since the event is not held until December. Since we will be receiving an electronic version we can edit to include the details.

  1. Please provide us with the date, time, place, and ticket price for your event.
    • Friday, December 5th. 6pm to 9:30pm, location Lafayette Christian School, 525 N. 26th Street, Lafayette.
  2. Do you have any silent aution items secured at this time? Do you have one major item that might be a big draw?
    • No major item so far, we will have WBAA promotional gear, likely room and bucceaner bay tickets from Best Western, usually we have convo tickets, and Christmas Show tickets. If you have any ideas for items, please let me know.
  3. Do you have entertainment booked? If so, please provide that information.
    • No one is booked, usually we have the Jefferson High School Choir, we hope to have PU Jazz group, who else would you come hear?
  4. Are sponsors secured? If so, may we have that information?
    • Not finalized as yet, Duke Energy, Wal-Mart, usually help.
  5. Do you know which restaurants will be donating food?
    • Arnie's, Skylight Coffeehouse, Bistro 501, Maize, McGraws, usually we have about 20 restaurants who donate, but the letters have not gone out yet as it is too early to ask them to comfirm for a December event. We will ask for confirmation in late September.
  6. Since the Soup and Bread logo are branded may we have that in a jpg we can put it on the flyer and poster?
    • It is attached. (NOTE: I have attached this at the bottom of the project page)
Since you are going to be delivering documents that can be updated (remember the client requested this--she also references it above), I think you are safe including the sponsors and restaurants Jane mentions. If they fail to participate for some reason, it should be easy for The Crisis Center to remove them from the documents.
