Responsibilities:
• Advertising for business – desinged and distibuted flyers to surrounding communities and placed an ad in the local paper each spring to atrract new customers
• Customer estimates – as clients called for service I made appointments to look at the property and give a quote on the service
• Supervising mowing crew – started with a crew of 1 in March 1998 and by 2006 I was supervising 4 employees
• Paying bills – manged the books for the company and paid the bills on time
• Customer billing – sent monthly statements to customers and reciepted money to proper accounts when payment was received
• Landscape services – trimmed trees and buses and did minor yard landscaping
• Managed company purchasing and inventory – mowers, weed wackers, edgers, bags, and parts
• Scheduled services for clients – clients were put on a weekly schedule
2. Scott’s lawn Care

Responsibilities:
• Mowing – this company service 96 home and commercial business. There are 2 full-time seasonal employees
• Customer service – while mowing, converse with customers to be sure the job is done to their satisfaction
• Equipment repair – blade sharpening and replacement, tire changing, and other minor repairs

United Way volunteer on Purdue’s Campus
American Cancer Society Relay for Life Advocacy Team – I was the team captain and we raised $1425 for the American Cancer Socity in June 2007

Educational Experience

Schoolwork
Speech class has given the confidence to converse with individuals of all ages. I am comfortable dealing with my peers, people younger than me and people who I have done business with.
I have taken several organizational leadership classes including: leadership principles, organizaitonal behavior, meeting management, human resources, and conflict management.

Skills
I think I am especially good at managing people. When I co-owned Kleen Kut Lawn Service, I was able to motivate my employees and keep the customers happy. Other skills that I feel I can say I am good at include: advising people, assembling and repairing equipment, budgeting expenses, meeting people, organizing, handling complaints, flexible, sales, operating equipment and taking personal responsibility. I can take direction as well as give direction and I am highly motivated to do well in all undertakings.
I do not speak any other language fluently enough to communicate.
Iam proficient in the use of Microsof Office, Access and Excel.
I am best at working with lawn servicing and landscape equipment.
