This week was a little less hectic compared to the rest of them. Not having a reading response or any responses/replies due this week helped out a lot with the work load. This week was shorter compared to the others; this made things a little tougher because things were due sooner than they were before.

Attached is the final draft of the Service Learning Project for Group 2. Also included is a file containing the documents so that the press release, flyer, and poster can be edited as needed by the Lafayette Crisis Center.

Attached as a PDF file is my press release and the itemized list of the things changed.

I would say that this week was the toughest for our group. After receiving feedback, we all worked on changes to our individual part of the project. I created the poster for the Service Learning Project. After receiving feedback from the instructor, I was working on changing it. For the first draft of the poster, I went off of the examples that were provided to us from Jane.

Class...I was just wondering, for the press release does the contact information need to be at the top or bottom?

On Monday, after I posted my Employment project revision, I started drafting the poster. First, I made a list of what items I thought needed to be on the poster. Then I made sure I had the pictures that I was going to use on my computer, and ready to be put into the document. I then tried numerous different fonts for the heading of the poster.

In Chapter 24 of the reading assigned, it was stated that “verbal and visual information work together.” With the design of my first draft of the poster, I put a few pictures next to some of the writing. These pictures and words complement each other, and hopefully the pictures will catch the viewers’ eyes and get them to read what is next to the pictures.

The first week of group work in an online class was interesting. It is hard to find a time when all group members can be at a computer at the same time talk online about the project. The main communication between the three of us this week was through emails. After I completed the Corporate Communication Project on Wednesday, I took it upon myself to start working on the Gantt chart.
