Week 8 Project Log for Project 3
Project 3 – Technical Marketing Document
Project Log
Sunday 7/27 – The team met on an AIM chat in the evening to put the
finishing touches on the first draft. Work was conducted by each of the group members
over the weekend and into Sunday on their own sections. Chris and I were able
to meet on AIM and discuss the final version, make changes, and eventually
submit the draft to the course website for peer review.
Monday – Today was for peer review.
Each of the team members reviewed another group’s first draft of the project,
the Kodak digital picture frame pamphlet. Some attention was also given to reviewing
and thinking about comments from peer reviews to our own paper, from the group
that reviewed our work. The team emailed correspondence on what needed to be
accomplished and to meet on AIM chat Tuesday evening to revise and submit the
next draft.
Tuesday – Chris and I were able to meet on AIM chat this evening to discuss
how we wanted to review and revise our current draft. Matt sent in his input
via email. Chris and I altered some items and Chris did a great job of the
final shape up of the document and to make the necessary changes from the peer
review. The document was submitted on time.
Wednesday – No group work was necessary as the team is waiting for feedback
on its first official submission of the technical marketing project.
Thursday – Chris and I were able to meet on AIM chat once again and discuss
the necessary steps to get a re-submission in by midnight on Thursday. Chris
and I were able to come together on several items within the document. We worked
on how to organize and how best to fold the pamphlet. We also made all the
corrections and then some to the draft. Great job by Chris to get the final
re-submission back in on time.
The team is currently in between submissions. The team has handed in its final submission of the brochure but yet still may get another review to submit by Friday at midnight. Communication in this group has been difficult. Also, to get all group members at meetings has been difficult. Excellent work has been put in by Chris, who spearheaded the drafting and development of the document. This project, while not overly complicated in scope has been difficult to massage the finer points of.
