Belated Week 8 Reading Response

It is important to understand the power and importance of visual arguments.  Graphics can be very successful in crafting a strong argument when utilized correctly.  It is important to choose which type of graphic representation best works for that data being presented.  It would be quite a mistake to use a pie chart when a bar graph would be more appropriate.  One thing I never gave thought to was consistency among graphs.  The design of graphics should not vary, as this could confuse a reader looking to identify data variance.
