I have attached my project files to this blog post. I was unable to save my submission notes as a PDF. They follow below:

SUBJECT: Final project submission notes

For this final project, I chose to do several pages of a catalog. Namely, the cover, table of contents, introduction page, and content pages. I used Photoshop to complete this assignment. I would like any feedback related to the content and layout of the document. This memo will outline the setbacks and difficulties faced when creating this document as well as outline the specific issues to be discussed in feedback.

DOCUMENT DESIGN
I chose to use Photoshop for this project because I have just recently become very comfortable with using it. I was able to make the design using backgrounds found on Stock Exchange (sxu.com) for free. These photographs are legal to use and manipulate. Additionally, I found many of the graphics that I used in the catalog in the program iWeb. iWeb treats the graphics as vector images, so they are able to be resized without losing quality. I had a lot of fun with the design and am quite pleased with how it turned out.

SETBACKS AND IMPROVEMENTS
My home computer, where I completed this assignment, does not have Acrobat so I was unable to collect the documents under one PDF. This was frustrating as it meant a lot of time figuring out how to get the documents online. Additionally, I had to resize all of the PDF’s because their files were too big for the Drupal site.

I would have liked pictures of students, however, that part of the project never materialized. For future improvements, I would like to add in these pictures and use some of the iWeb graphics to make them feel part of the document.

FEEDBACK AND CONCLUSIONS
Overall, I am pleased with how the document turned out. I would like feedback on the issues listed above as well as ideas for how to improve it. I really enjoyed this project and look forward to any suggestions as how it can be improved. Please feel free to contact me at krbouwens@gmail.com.
