Some Important Information

Please read through all the material below, it should serve as a substitute for Tuesday's class. Again, all, sorry that I'm missing these two classes. Some people have sent me private messages, but I imagine many of you have similar questions, so...

  • When it comes to creating content, please only create blog posts.
  • Reading Responses: Please post reading responses to your own blog. I must say, as a class, I am happy with the first-wave of response posts. The blog posts should be up by the end of class time (5:45). I understand that there's a book shortage, so those of you without the book will have to catch up. In the meantime, try to crank out an extra annotation.
  • American Medical Writers Association Journal: For those of you having trouble with the finding the last ten years of the AMWA online for free. No need to bother with JSTOR.
  • Selecting Articles: Remember that I would like you to select one article a year for a six year span. Also, try to select articles on a similar subject- this will allow you to compare what kinds of research supports a particular topic. Trust me, it will help when it comes time to write the paper.
  • I'll post something later today regarding my expectations for annotations.

The AMWA Journal

The link that you provided for the AMWA Journal only tells us the titles of the articles. We cannot access those articles unless we are members of the AMWA. Suggestions at this point?

AMWA

A few people have pointed out that only articles before 2006 are free. So, if you're going to do this journal, you'll have to do older articles. I don't mind if you don't mind.
