Interviewee: Brian Wallheimer, Purdue reporter for the Journal and Courier
Extended Account of the Interview
The respondent I have chosen for our interview project is Brian Wallheimer, a local writer for the Journal and Courier. Wallheimer is the Purdue reporter for the newspaper, focusing his articles on issues and events pertaining to the university. Some of the topics of the writer’s more recent articles include the new campus alert system, Purdue blood drives, and the impact of the Internet on the daily lives of students.
The intramural activities offered by the Purdue Recreational Sports Center in the spring are the focal point of my mapping project. In revisiting the finished map as a whole and reflecting on the design techniques and processes involved in
This map is focused on the recreational sports programs offered by Purdue during the spring 2008 semester. The representation ideally targets students and faculty who are eligible to participate in intramural sports. All students who have a valid student ID, as well as all faculty members who have paid memberships to the RSC are eligible to play.

A visually oriented document serves as an effective approach to informing and persuading an audience. The following is an exploration and analysis of two separate maps that pertain to recreational sports activities offered at Purdue University.
