Attached is the rough draft of my report.
Jackie
I forgot to attach the document as a pdf so here it is.
Jackie McKee is interviewing Lindsey Paddock, a technical writer for Scientific Research Corporation (SRC). Lindsey works for the SRC branch located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Jackie chooses to interview Lindsey because she is interested in the technical writing side of professional writing but also because she has a technical writing internship with SRC in North Charleston during the summer of 2008. She and Lindsey are working on some projects together this summer.
This is a Purdue University Residence Dining Map. The map is intended for vegetarian/ vegan freshmen, but it can be used by anyone who wants to eat healthier. The purpose of this map is to encourage and persuade people to eat healthier, but it is specifically geared towards vegetarians and vegans.
I have changed the focus of my project to making a map for vegetarian and vegan freshmen. I am including only the food places that are very close to or inside the freshmen dorms.
RESEARCH
Thus far, I have done a lot of research online looking at the dining court websites and the on-the-go and mini mart sites. The best places (they have the most vegan/vegetarian products) to find vegetarian/vegan items are at the Meredith mini mart and the Windsor dining court.
Because Purdue does not have any maps pertaining to the subject of my project, I chose to analyze two online maps that map the same subject in different cities: vegan/vegetarian restaurants and stores. Below are the separate analyses which give a brief overlook of the maps, and at the end there is an analysis of both the maps together.

When Purdue freshmen students first come to Purdue many have difficulty adjusting. Many freshman gain the famous “freshman 15.” This is a problem that can be helped. Freshmen need information about Purdue dining courts to make educated decisions about their meals.
