Week 16 Log

Barkerc's picture

This week our group got a lot of work done. However, i wish i could have contributed more than what i did. I had to work every day and had class on top of that. Our group did a great job of communicating and working together to coordinate this project and i think we are going to get a very good grade on it. The group has worked very hard to get this project done and some of the members really do have a passion to help this mission to sell place. We began to put the finishing touches on the project and prepared to hand it in for a grade.

Project log week 16: Communicating Better

This week our communication improved and I think our quality increased in our deliverables. We did a good job of making a list of everyone’s responsibilities and that has helped me be able to fit the homework into my busy schedule. My first task was to do the multimedia presentation draft. I chose to use PowerPoint and had the approval of the group before using the program. I sent out the draft the morning before it was due for any changes or editing. I then posted the draft on the website in the evening. Next week we will be working hard to finish up the deliverables.

Week 16 Project Log: Posting our Drafts

Amanda's picture

In week 16 we began working on the multimedia presentation
and the instructions. This week went well because we began the week by dividing
up our tasks. Each person in the group had a set amount of the project to get
done by a certain date and we all sent each of our drafts to each other so that
we could look over and edit what other group members had put together. I think
that this method worked out really well and will help us finish our project on
time. It also helped get us all on the same page and doing the same amount of
work. It seemed as if earlier in the project the workload was unbalanced, but
this week it has worked out very well. We posted both our instructions and
multimedia drafts on Wednesday and will be working on revising these drafts for
our final project this coming Wednesday. We will continue to communicate
through email and stick to our allotted tasks and schedule.

Week 16 Project Log

This week, our group made a lot of progress on Project 3. Our first drafts of the multimedia presentation and the user documentation were both due this week. To avoid too many people working on the same thing, which tends to be counterproductive, our group split up the work so that some members worked on the first parts of the projects while others will finish those parts and submit the final drafts that are due next week. I think this was a good way to keep the group on task and allow each member to do their part for this final project.

Week 16 Project Log

Week 16 was a very productive week. Our group members collabarated on what sections of the project they would like to participate in. This was taken into consideration when the group members were assigned their tasks. Since the two drafts were due this week and the finals were due next week we split it up so two members would do the drafts and then the other two would finish it up for next week. I believe this was a great way to break up the part and not cause a bunch of confusion between the members by working on the same documents and messing them up. One more week and our group has a great path to success on Project 3.

Mission To Sell - User Documentation Draft

Mylez's picture

Attached is Mission to Sell's User Documentation Draft. Below are a few questions that you can reference when looking over the draft when giving your feedback.

1. If you are familiar with eBay and have used it before, are these instructions accurate and are they how you accomplished the tasks when they were done?

2. Would you include any more steps for what is already done or is it thorough enough?

3. Does the information look professional and are there any grammar mistakes?

Thanks for your feedback.

Project Log Week 15: Mission to Complete

Tim's picture

This week was a little slow for Mission to Sell, but we did get it in gear on Friday. We all read through each other’s individual usability tests and I made the suggestion that we use Mylez’s format and add questions from everybody’s tests. I wasn’t able to be a part of the question picking as the group decided to do it while I was at work, but I was able to look over the draft before it was turned in. In the future I hope we can continue to communicate with each other. We need to start on our multimedia presentation early next week so we all can contribute fully to the project.
