Week 16 Project Log

csnodgra's picture

This week was a busy but successful week.  After a misunderstanding, the usability
report was redone. Originally we compiled the usability tests, but this was
incorrect. To fix the usability report we compiled our results into one
document. After this, we discussed the changes that needed to be made to the instruction
set and the multimedia presentation. During this discussion we considered the
peer responses we received during the peer review process. We divided the work
up that required to finalize these documents. We needed to fix a spelling error
in the multimedia presentation and add a conclusion. The user document needed a
title page and to add final visual touches. The multimedia presentation had a spelling
error to correct and add a conclusion to the end of it.

Team Google: Project 3 Final

This blog is the cover note for Team
Google's final Instruction Document and Multimedia Presentation for the Wildcat
Creek Foundation. For this project we modified the instruction set from project 2 to personalize it for the Wildcat Creek Foundation. In addition, we created a captivate presentation that explains why the Wildcat Creek Foundation should
incorporate our instructions on using Google Maps.

Attached is our PDF of the instruction set and the link to the presentation.

If you have any troubles opening these, please contact snod.boilermaker@gmail.com.

Throughout the development process, we took the comments from our peers and our
own usability report to refine the instructions.

Week 16 Project Log

The project is almost wrapped up. We are putting the final touches on the project before submission next week. This week we put together a new Usability study and also made a multimedia presentation. We used Adobe Captivate for the program which we found to be very easy to use. It is a very neat program and is a great pick for this project cause it shows the user exactly what to do on screen. We are going to look at comments from this week and make the final changes to our project before submission next week.

Project log week 16

This week was a fast week. Like usual we meet in Hicks library. We finished all the drafts and decided to meet again for next week to finish things up. This time we will be meeting monday at 11:30 instead of the usual thursday time. So far the projects look amazing and im looking forward to seeing their concluesion.

Week 16 Blog

This was a very productive week as well for Team Google. It was my job this week to complete the user documentation draft for the project. To do this, I altered the draft from its original state so that it would be catered to the needs of the Wildcat Creek Foundation.

On Thursday, April 24, Team Google met in order to compile all of the individual drafts for the user documentation and multimedia presentation. Altogether, this took nearly one hour. Since everyone had all of their work done, it was very easy to compile all of the drafts into one.

We will be meeting next Monday, April 28 in order to complete Project 3.

We would appreciate any feedback that you can give.

Project log week 15

This week was a good week. We met on thursday in Hicks as usual. We finished our usibility report in the group meeting and went ahead and submitted it together. We split up things to go for next week. My so called little project is to come up with reasons that the wildcat creek foundation should use our ideas. We plan on meeting again on thursday morning and putting everything together.

Project Log

This week we completed our individual usability studies. As a group we met and compliled all of our usability studies that we completed individually, and also took into consideration comments that people left us. It was great being able to compile everyones together into one document. It was amazing to see how different people thougths were on areas that may be problematic for the user. As a whole we collaborated well and came up with a great final product. Up next I will start to work on the presentation portion of our final project.
