Week 12 Project Log

This week we submitted our final components of
project two! The project went very well. Amanda and I maintained regular
communication throughout the week to ensure all final editing was completed and
all documents were completed and submitted on time. An important component of
this week was our communication and time management. Putting together the final
pieces of the project required careful attention to detail, multiple reviews
and critiques of the work, incorporating feedback from each other, our peers, and
professor, and submitting our final copies of our work. Amanda and I worked
very well together during the project and project two provided a great opportunity
for me to see exactly how important and different communications can be with an
online course!

Week 12 Project Log: Completion of Project 2

This week we submitted our final draft of the project.
Before submitting the project we made final changes using the peer reviews of
our project. We also both edited the final draft to make sure we didn’t make
any errors in the writing. We connected with each other through email multiple
times this week. In addition to making changes to our usability test and illustrated
instructions, we made changes to our cover letter so that it encompassed the
whole project. We also created a revisions memo explaining the work we did to
make changes to our project. During the project we were able to work very well
with each other and we completed a successful and useful illustrated
instructions project.

Project Two: Final

To: Whom It May Concern
From: Katie Winkler and Amanda Sands
Subject: Project 2, Facebook Groups for Professional Development
Date: 26 March 2008
The following attachments and links provide instructions on creating and utilizing a Facebook group for professional development. Facebook groups can be accessed by anyone, at different times, from multiple locations, for varying purposes. Our instructions provide both written and visual information to guide the user through creating a group, editing a group, searching for the group, leaving or deleting the group, and general usage of the group. We hope that you find this information informative and useful. We would appreciate any feedback you have to offer.
Sincerely,
Katie Winkler and Amanda Sands

Work Plan

We have almost completed our Illustrated Instructions Project. Currently, we are in the process of making final revisions to the project before submission. Currently, we need to make revisions to the instructions draft. We got some great suggestions from peers, and we made a list of these suggestions. Now we need to go back, incorporate the feedback, and produce the final product!

Work Plan

To finish our project we need to make a final draft of both
the instructions and usability test and also write a cover letter. To make
these final revisions we will take into account the comments we have received on
these documents so far. We will use the usability draft comments to make our
instructions more understandable. After looking at the comments we have received,
it looks as if most of the things that we will need to fix are minor, such as
formatting changes and a few grammatical errors. I do not think that we will
have any problems getting this done by Wednesday. We will each look over the
documents and edit them one final time before turning them in.

Project Log for Week 11: Project Revisions

This week we revised our instructions as well as our
usability test. We incorporated the feedback we received from other students on
our instruction drafts into our second draft and then posted it again with our
usability test for students to try. We got some good comments from this second
draft and will work on revising the instructions for next week. We met through
email to discuss each of our steps and used email to keep each other updated on
the revisions we were each making. Email has proven an effective tool for
collaboration so we will continue to use this for communication. In regards to
our project timeline, we will make final changes to our drafts this weekend and
have our final project posted next week.

Project Log, Wk 11

Well, we made it to week 11! At this point in the project, everything is going great. Amanda and I have definitely established more of a routine and we are still maintaining great communication and time management. We typically look a couple days ahead at what needs to be accomplished, and generally set a timeline that allows us to get the work done a day early (allowing for a safe margin of error or delay). Amanda and I are both contributing to the workload equally and are accomplishing the tasks collectively. We have great communication, primarily via email, which is what is making our project so sucessful! Overall, the group work is going great!
