Resume Improvements

There are multiple ways in which I can edit and improve my resume. After reading over Jacob’s peer review, I saw that there were a few very important things that I can do to build my resume up. Some of the things that he mentioned were organizing things in level of importance, text size, detailed information, and changing the mission statement. I tailored my resume out of a book that I received from the Center for Career Opportunities at Purdue, and it seems to disagree with a lot of notes in the Thomas Handbook. First, I did not bullet my items under my work experience. This would be a good idea because of organization and also order. These lists then will need to be order into level of importance and start with action verbs. I actually missed the action verb part in the book before I edited my past resume, but it seems to be a very good idea to do for the future. I will also consider making fonts different and some text even bigger to catch the eye of the reader. I agree with Jacob that my resume is a bit plane, and I need to elaborate on most work experience to longer sentences instead of keywords. To me it seems as if there are too many ways to make a resume. I looked at multiple resumes and they all seem to take different approaches at organization and font size and type. This Is why it is important to tailor the resume to the rhetorical section, because the reader is ultimately the one who has to approve of your design. Thanks a lot for the advice.
