Multimedia Presentation Peer Review

Overall, really nice job. It's good that your team was able to use Captivate. You seemed to really embrace the new program and fully explored its multimedia capabilities. A couple of comments: On the 3rd/4th slide, the word "improve" is spelled wrong. I don't know if Captivate has a spell check function, but I'd go over your content one more time. Also, the first time I went through your presentation, it was kind of lagging. I have a pretty high speed internet connection, so this might be something to look into. Maybe not. Anyway, nice job. I don't see much that needs to be improved on.

After reading through your instructions and viewing your presentation they seem to compliment each other very well.  Your presentation shows the need and your instruction set presents the information necessary to fulfill that need.  I did not have a problem with lag while viewing the presentation. I like how you use the mouse to draw attention to different parts of the screen which allowed be to better see what you were talking about.  You may want to include in your presentation that Dreamweaver will be required to complete the task and that the person using Dreamweaver will need so basic coding skills to follow the instructions.

The team did a great job on the multimedia presentation and I liked how you guys used Adobe Captivate. Not many people know how to use that software to its full aptitude, but it seems like the team spent a good amount of time putting together the presentation. When the presentation first opened up my first thought was that it looked professional. I also noticed the spelling error, so I would just read through and double check spelling. Other than that it looks good.

The Google multimedia presentation looks very good using the
Adobe Captivate. Using the Captivate
program worked well for the most part. I
did run into a problem with it after the screen that showed the map and went
through the different types of views Google offers. The presentation just locked up so I am not
sure if it was just my computer or what. I did like how you had the text come up as you
talked on the first few slides though. It
wasn’t too distracting and had good timing with each word popping up as you
said it. Overall it looks like a very
good presentation.

Your presentation is excellent. It incorporates a consistent theme, and the voice over helps you follow the material. One major suggestion is to implement a control bar for the presentation. This will allow the viewer to pause, seek, and resume the presentation at will. For example, if they missed something, they could easily go back and watch that again without starting the entire presentation again. Other than that your material looks great.

There should be a control bar, you just need to scroll down to get to it. I picked a screen size that is larger than most monitors therefore it goes off the page. This could be something to take into consideration next time. Thank for the comment!

The multimedia presentation is really top notch. You've done great work with Captivate to really instruct on the benefits and easy use of Google Maps. In the beginning, don't just repeat the text on the screen. Use the screen as a visual aid and reference and then build on that content with more information in what you say.

The User documentation is effective, but it needs to be specific to what you're offering for Wildcat Creek. First, build on the comments I gave on the graded version from Project Two. Then, focus specific sections on making maps for properties, access points, and other things for which the Foundation can use Google Maps.
