Multimedia Presentation Comment
Your team's Powerpoint provides a good background on your client and Google Calendar, and in discussing the benefits that Google Calendar would bring to the CCO and Purdue students. I can also tell that you have followed all of the effective PowerPoint guidelines that we have studied and read about during Project 2. Your Captivate screen cast demostration is also very effective and easy to follow along for a first time user such as myself. The only suggestion I have would be to incorporate some audio instructions into your Captivate screencast, which will only make it more effective and help engage the user more. I think that CCO will be more than satisfied with the multimedia presentation documents.
Re: Presentation
This presentation looks really good so far. First of
all, it is a very professional looking presentation. I like how you
covered both the client you are servicing along with the google calendar
information. Secondly, I really liked the shockwave flash video part of
your presentation. It is an extremely simple video that is very easy to
understand, but it covers a lot of points that would be difficult to explain in
words. Each part of your presentation is well-thought out and expressed
in a manner that is easy to follow but is still very professional. Great work.

I really like how you used Captivate screen cast to show a lot of the details of your presentation. That definitely makes it easier to explain steps when you can watch it happen before you. I would suggest adding a voice over though. I think that would give it a more personal feel and help your presentation be more informative. I think that the presentation looks very professional and will hopefully continue to get better as we move toward the final deliverable. The CCO should be pleased with your presentation and hopefully they will consider the idea for there use.

I agree. I think you did a great job to supplement the PowerPoint
with captivate. Would it be possible to integrate the two together? I know you
import PowerPoint files into captivate and export captivate video for PowerPoint.
As said earlier, adding a voice over would increase the effectiveness. As a
whole the presentation looks good and the content is there.
Comments on Project Three
the Jane Purdue file is a great addition. The screen capture is very helpful, especially with the text the text you add. The writing style is very active and imperative, which is effective and engaging in this venue.
The PPT has a great design and layout to compliment your information. I do think you can add more persuasion and more on exactly why CCO should use Google Calendar. A couple more slides with those reasons should make this much more effective. Also, make sure the bullet points on an individual slide start with the same grammatical structures. Each bullet on a slide should start with a verb or a noun, etc.
In your user doc, I think the content is really effective and thorough. I can't really think of anything else to add. The thing to work on is your style. Many steps are buried at the end of the numbered step. Try to begin each step with an imperative and direct sentence that gives the step. Also, using bold will improve readability. Bullets can also be used to show options. You don't have to maintain that outline structure of 1 A ii b, etc. Other styles can work, too.
Let me know if you have any questions.
