I think you guys have a great idea, ebay could be used in huge ways, not only to help the Trinity Mission sell more of the merchandise they have coming into the store, but to hopefully help the trinity mission receive more money for their items.  This would be beneficial to the Lafayette community and the programs that the Trinity Mission provides.  As far as the content of your proposal is concerned, I feel that you guys have thought through a good amount of the details that Trinity Mission would need to know in order to be able to become self-sustaining in the operation of an ebay store.  A few things that you guys might want to consider are:  1. The initial cost & principal needed to set up an ebay account (a.k.a a computer) and 2. The details and packaging and labeling involved with shipping the items.  The shipping of the items could get complex because it depends upon weight and size of the items being shipped.  Each item listing in the store should have an estimated shipping cost with it, there may need to be a method outlined which would help them estimate these costs.  I could be over thinking something because I've never sold anything on ebay, but I hope this is helpful, at the very least to get you thinking about other aspects of the instructions.

First of all, I really like the project you guys chose. I think that helping a nonprofit sell their items online is a great idea. I'm not very familiar with eBay, but your proposal seems to cover most everything. I like that you'll also be explaining how to set up a PayPal account, since that seems like a must. I am a little concerned with the aspects of the project that aren't particularly Web 2.0. I think this was mentioned in the previous comment, but they may have issues with all the shipping. I think some companies like UPS will pick up packages, which might be a viable option for Trinity Mission. Overall, good job! I think you have a very challenging, but meaningful project. Good Luck.

(On a complete side note, I really like your team's name!)

Great I dea

Looks like you have a good idea. It would you have taken an organization that could really use assistance in making money to help others. I alos thing eBay is a very appropriate application to explain and use because it is a very commonly used program by many people and it would be great to put eBay to a good use.

I like where you are going with eBay sales, but there are a few things to consider. Trinity will have to ship their items, something they don't have to worry about now. Shipping would be a huge problem for a few items, but they may have to completely change the way they do business in order to have mass shipments going out. Also, ebay and Paypal both charge percentages as a fee. Paypal does this discretely, as soon as you get money it takes out a chunk. Ebay tells you what fee you have to pay for insertion, and then takes a chunk on sell, and charges both to whatever accounts you have on file. These things could be overlooked when selling items, so that should be clear to Trinity.
