Week 16 Project Log

During week 16, our team completed the User Documentation and Multimedia Presentation Draft.  On Wednesday Steph and I met at the Itap lab in Hicks UGL to begin on the two documents.  I was working on using Adobe Captivate to make video clips of Google Docs.  It was pretty simple to record them, but it was difficult getting them into PowerPoint.  I ended up just changing them for .swf to .mpeg and it worked just fine.  After we get the feedback from the users we will start working on the Final Documents to turn in on the deadline.  Any feedback would be great!

Week 15 Project Log

As of now, we are on track with the project and the different milestones.  So far we have completed the client email, proposal, and both usability test drafts.  We are supposed to meet sometime within the next couple of days to work on the multimedia presentation with the Adobe software.  It would be great to get everyone from our team to meet up, but if not it will still be a great time for everyone to work together for the presentation.  This week will be very busy, since all group projects will be due this week before finals start.  Should be fun.

Week 14 Project Log

During week 14, out team made our second proposal based on the feedback our peers gave us.  This week we also posted our individual study drafts and we will end up collaborating all of ours together for the final usability study.  We assigned tasks to each person and we covered that in the proposal.  Our team has been using Google Docs so that each person can make their own revisions and gives us one single point to access the documents so that they do not get mixed up.  So far it has been working pretty well, but we need to meet up in person, hopefully next week sometime.

Week 12 Project Log

During week 12, Team C Squared submitted the final completed version of the Google Maps Illustrated Draft.  It was pretty much completed before this week.  After looking at the reviews from our peers and professor, we carefully edited the content and made sure the format was correct.  The group project went very smooth for an online course and I thought that Chris and I communicated very well.

 

Work Plan

Team C Squared will probably first take the suggestions and responses into consideration and modify our instruction draft to complete it.  The instructions are all there but we might do some touch-ups to make it look a little bit better.  Chris and I talked about explaining some of the steps so users can get a better idea of the process.  All of the code is there to make Google Maps work correctly.  Lastly, we will make sure all of the formatting is correct.

Project Log - Week 11

This week out team completed the final usability test and instruction draft.  We met together earlier this week to compile each of our individual instruction drafts.  We added markers to the Google Map instructions.  One classmate gave us a suggestion to add a few more pictures and graphics to show the user the menus.  These graphics were added along with a few more detailed steps.  I hope that other individuals will give us feedback to make our instructions more user friendly if needed.  Our team also has responded to another team’s usability test and instruction draft.  Hopefully it will give the team great feedback.
