Final Individual Usability Study

Here's my final draft of the individual usability study.
Project Log

This week (week 14), Team Google got alot of stuff done for Project 3. Monday, we had to write up a proposal for project 3, and jeseger took care of this. We had in mind exactly what we were to do for the project, so it was a pretty easy proposal for jeseger to write. In addition to submitting the proposal draft on Monday, We met on Thursday to discuss the rest of the project. I was not able to make it due to work, but my roommate jeseger filled me in on the details. During the meeting, they revised our proposal and submitted the final revision. They also talked about what was coming up and how they were to combat it.

Project Work Plan

To finish the project Jon and I have some revisions to make. As I said stated previously, these revisions were made from feedback given to us by our peers. Using the feedback, which was very helpful, we were able to make and still need to make some of the following changes:

Week 8 Project Log

Week 8 accomplishments include:
- At the beginning of the week, Jon and I sat down and discussed ideas for the illustrated instructions. Since Jon and I are both Mechanical Engineers, we thought I would be good to use an engineering software and create some simple instructions. The main idea that we ended up deciding upon was to use the program Pro-Engineer (a CAD modeling program) to create a simple object. CAD stands for Computer Aided Design.
- On Tuesday, Jon and I chatted with Kevin about our ideas. The main questions that we had were about the number of steps allowable for the project, and we discovered that 25 is a minimum, but we probably do not want to exceed 25 by too much.
- Other accomplishments include the definitions of Jon and I's roles in the team. Jon and I now have a clearer idea of what each of us will be trying to accomplish over the next couple of weeks as we work on the project.
