Week 16 Project Log

Week 16 was a very productive week. Our group members collabarated on what sections of the project they would like to participate in. This was taken into consideration when the group members were assigned their tasks. Since the two drafts were due this week and the finals were due next week we split it up so two members would do the drafts and then the other two would finish it up for next week. I believe this was a great way to break up the part and not cause a bunch of confusion between the members by working on the same documents and messing them up. One more week and our group has a great path to success on Project 3.
Mission To Sell - User Documentation Draft

Attached is Mission to Sell's User Documentation Draft. Below are a few questions that you can reference when looking over the draft when giving your feedback.
1. If you are familiar with eBay and have used it before, are these instructions accurate and are they how you accomplished the tasks when they were done?
2. Would you include any more steps for what is already done or is it thorough enough?
3. Does the information look professional and are there any grammar mistakes?
Thanks for your feedback.
Week 15 Project Log

This week was a little slower for Mission to Sell, maybe because of Grand Prix and all its festivities. I was a little bit busier so I did not contribute much to the group. The other members of the group worked well on finalizing the Group Usability Report, and used my usability report as a template and added more content. As a whole the group is doing really well working together and getting these project objectives done. With two more weeks left we really have to step it up in gear and get a great start on the multimedia presentation. Earlier next week I plan on getting a nice template for PowerPoint or checking on the Adobe program everyone is talking about, so I know how we can implement it for our project.

Proposal
‘Mission to Sell’ is a group that includes Timothy Gray, Amanda Sands, Craig Barker, Myles Basso, and Tim Okerson. We propose to enable the Trinity Mission Outlet Store to sell more of their merchandise by helping them use the eBay, an online auction site, to create an eBay store. This store will allow them to manage and sell products to people outside of the local community.

Week 14 Project Log

During Week 14, 'Mission to Sell' submitted a project proposal and their individual usability studies. Once again the proposal was started by one individual and passed throughout the whole group to edit and ended up to be a well written proposal. I like how my group will have an individual step up and start a project document and then leave it up to others to complete or finalize the product. In my past experiences, the group would just e-mail back and forth and see who would be doing the work until one person would just do the work themselves. The Reading Response on PowerPoint really opened my eyes on what is good and bad about making a slideshow. I plan to find a great template for the project and start taking screen shots to start the stand alone presentation next week.

Week 13 Project Log

The first week of Project 3 was very buys and productive. Our group started out by introducing ourselves and collaborating on possible topics for the project. It was hard at first to choose a common chat time, but we pulled together to choose a topic and a group name, ‘Mission to Sell’. The purpose of the topic is to help Trinity Mission Outlet Store sell products on the online auction site, eBay. We met as a group in the chat room to talk to Kevin about the topic and what to include in our contact e-mail. Kevin explained what to include and offered feedback on our first draft. Our group passed a document around via e-mail and updated it as it was forwarded. My group seems to be very responsible and very prompt on answering e-mails, and I am very excited to work with them. Next, we will work on the project proposal and usability test.
