This week has been very productive for the DVD Profilers
group.  We had a meeting on Tuesday
evening regarding the next steps of the projects.  I wasn’t able to stay around very long though
because I had something else come up.  The
usability report was not the correct form that was desired.  I corrected the usability report and updated
it on the existing blog with the previous usability report.  The user documentation and multimedia
presentation drafts were submitted. 
These drafts looked very strong in my opinion, but may still need some
revisions after the comments are posted.  We are well on our way to completing project
three.

During this week of project 3 the DVD Profilers have been
very productive.  We have continued to
maintain good communication using the course chat program.  This has worked out very well meeting twice a
week to go over the steps of the client project.  We have got the ground work for this project
well on its way with the assignments for each person in place.  The usability report is going to be posted Friday
evening after we finalize it.  We will be
meeting on Tuesday evening again to discuss the user documentation and the
multimedia presentation we will be creating.

During this week of project 3 the DVD Profilers were very
productive.  We had a chat session on
Sunday night to discuss and produce the proposal draft.  We then used the feedback we received for the
final draft of the proposal that we posted today.  We had a chat session on Thursday night to
discuss what we needed to do.  All of the
individual usability drafts were submitted and we will meet Sunday again to
discuss the next step of the project due later next week.  We got full participation last night in the
chat session and we are well on our way to a successful project working with
Shreve hall.

During week 13 of the class we began project 3.  We made our initial contact on Monday with
numerous emails and had a chat session to discuss the project on Wednesday
night.  We came up with a good client to
be used during project 3.  We will be
suggesting to Shreve Hall a DVD profiler that helps manage their collection of
DVDs that they loan out.  One of the
members of the group actually works with the hall on a regular basis so the
contact shouldn’t be that difficult.  The
group DVD Profilers came up with an email to make the initial contact with the
client that will be sent out today.  We
made arrangements to have another chat session on Sunday evening to discuss the
project group proposal.

Attached you should find the illustrated instructions by the
Dukesters for Portal J, which is a Duke Energy application.  The instructions
are a guide for new employees to Duke Energy that would be utilizing this Web
2.0 program.  You can find below the files for instructions and usability
test on Portal J.  Thank you to all of
those who helped with the revisions and made suggestions for the completed
project of the illustrated instructions project.

The work plan for completing this project should be fairly
short.  We will be using the user
response from the reviews we got on the instructions and usability test to
finalize both drafts.  I think both
drafts are very good, however the instructions may be able to use more work
than that of the usability test.  We will
continue to communicate to finish this project and squeeze it into our work
schedules.  I think this project is in
the home stretch for use with just a few minor tweaks lefts to perform.

During week 11 the Dukesters had a pretty good week. I believe we are both getting into some busy times at work which hinders our time to focus on this project, but still managed to put in quality work. We continued communicating well via the telephone and email. We got our draft of the instructions combined for Portal J along with the revised usability test. Tim worked on putting together a good combination of the two illustrated instructions and I revised the usability test with a few different points. We are still working on getting the instruction draft worked through and the usability test filled out but will be completed shortly. Overall it has been a productive week after the nice week long break last week.
