Week 16 Project Log
Posted April 25th, 2008 by djkuntzThe project is almost wrapped up. We are putting the final touches on the project before submission next week. This week we put together a new Usability study and also made a multimedia presentation. We used Adobe Captivate for the program which we found to be very easy to use. It is a very neat program and is a great pick for this project cause it shows the user exactly what to do on screen. We are going to look at comments from this week and make the final changes to our project before submission next week.

Week 14 Project Log
Posted April 13th, 2008 by djkuntzIn week 14 we met as a a group at Hicks Library and discussed the comments that people wrote on our Project Proposal. We then took that feedback and put it to use. We made corrections to our proposal and then resubmitted it. We also discussed our plans for next week and how we would go about completing this project. So far we have worked great as a group and it looks like this project will be a success.

Project Log: Week 13
Posted April 3rd, 2008 by djkuntzWe just started project three this week, but I think as a group we are off to a good start. We met face to face today to just get to know eachother and also work on the client email. We have decided to help the Wildcat Creek Society by using our knowledge of Google maps to help not only their website, but maybe offer them some more suggestions on projects they can do for the creek. We plan on hopefully being able to locate access points to the creek through Google maps and then they can post those points on their website.
I think the group as a whole, we are going to get along great. Three members in the group are in the school of mechanical engineering technology, and the other two are in the school of mechanical engineering so we share many common interests.
Project Log: Week 12
Posted March 31st, 2008 by djkuntzUpon the completion of week twelve brought the completion of the Illustrated Instructions Project. The several week project was broken down into many steps and completed with a team member. The final goal was to form a set of instructions that were both useful for the reader and also easy to perform. With the help of group evaluations and by teams completing our usability tests we were able to form a very educational set of instructions teaching users the different aspects of the Google Calender Program.
Work Plan
Posted March 24th, 2008 by djkuntzThere are several things that Rob and I need to touch up and correct before the final submission of our project. The peer reviews served as a very useful tool in helping us see mistakes in our work. With the peer review it brought in an outside source and used someone who is not familiar with the program to try and figure it out. Things that we thought were clear other people found flaws with because they have not used the program before.
Project Log: Week 11
Posted March 21st, 2008 by djkuntzIn this past week me and my partner made some good headway on the project. We basically finished up all of the steps and put them in a format that we find to be easy to follow. With that we posted our usability test so that other people can evaluate our directions and bring up any questions they have. We expect there to be some difficulties throughout the directions and with the usability test we hope that we will be able to correct those problems and make our directions as easy as possible to follow. We know that our format is not quite right yet and there are some places that raise questions. We hope with the peer feedback though that we will be able to correct any problems and have an understandable set of instructions.
