Project Log week 16

This week we got a lot done in finishing the project. We did our user documentation draft and our mulitmedia presentation. I think our multimedia presentation looks really good, and professionally done. I didn't do the work on it, but I think my group mates did a real solid job on it. I also thought our user documentation was pretty good too. I think it covered all bases. I think we are in a good place with the project right now.

This week things really came together. We had made our individual usability tests and performed them. For today, we had to combine what we had learned as a group. I was in charge of writing this final report. Just as I had found in my individual test, the rest of my group had very little trouble in navigating through Google Calendar. This makes me quite confident that the users will not have much trouble either.

Project Log

This week we made some big advancements in our project. We developed our proposal and sent Purdue CCO our idea. Purdue CCO was quick to respond to our email. It seemed that they really liked the idea and were willing to go with it. Other than that for today we incorporated our changes on the proposal, and we turned the proposal into a story to submit.

Log

Starting out the week, I was somewhat confused as to what was going on. I had no idea what the project was about. After my groups meeting with Kevin, I feel that I now have a clue as to what we are doing. For our project, we decided to set up a Google calendar to work with Purdue's CCO. Hopefully, they will accept our offer, and we can begin to work with them. On our calendar we will include all of the job fairs, seminars, and resume issues. Hopefully this organization of CCO's schedule will help students that are out there trying to get jobs.

Project Log Week 12

Well, we have finally submitted our final project. We had most of it done before now, we just had to make some modifications. I was glad that we had good feedback from both our peers and Kevin. We put more spaces in between steps, because it would have been very easy to confuse one step with another. We also bolded certain words that we felt were key so that they would stand out. We also had forgotten some things like a cover page, conclusion, and a trouble shooting section. After we made these changes we were finally done.

Work Plan

The first thing that we need to do to complete our instructions is to incorporate suggestions and comments from our peers. I think that we also need to some basic editing to our instructions, like space it out better and maybe cut some paragraphs into two. Also, I think that we could either add more graphics, or add clearer ones than what we have now. Overall I think we are getting there, just need to make some final adjustments.

Week 11

Week 11 was another big week in completing our final project. We finished our usability tests, and our instruction set. Ours was almost done to begin with, we just had to do some minor editing. Then we had to review another groups instructions and complete their usability test. We reviewed a group's project that was very similar to ours. Their's was a bit more in depth and started a lot earlier in the process than ours. From reviewing another groups project, I saw some things that our group could incorporate into our project.
