Project Log Wk 16

Our Project has been going very well over the past week. This past week we looked ahead to see what was due, and established group responsibilities over the weekend. It was helpful to split up the group responsibilities, to make it easier for us to communicate and get the work done in a reasonable amount of time with effective use of teamwork. Over the past week Erin and Jacob worked on the multimedia presentation while Dane and myself worked on the user documentation and Brian edited both pieces of work, because he worked on the usability study previously. This worked well for us because it allowed us to accomplish drafts of each assignment, and then send it out to the entire group to be edited prior to submitting it on the course website. We have been communicating very well through email as well. We chose to communicate this way because we all have very different schedules, and this allows us to send ideas, information, documents, etc to the entire group at one time.
Project Log, Wk 15

We are on track with our project so far. We
completed the client email, proposal, the individual usability tests, and the
group usability study. The usability study was an important component of our
project, and it was helpful to have each our individual usability reports to
compile the group one. We used each of our usability tests as a guide, as well
as to help foster ideas, to create the larger Usability study. Our primary
communication has a group has been through email. This has remained effective
for keeping all group members informed at all times, as well as creating a way
to archive our communications and documents, by saving emails. Overall, our
group has been working well together to complete the project. We have gotten
our tasks completed in a timely manner, and have been developing our
communication and teamwork throughout the project.
Individual Usability Test

I have attached my individual Usability Test to this blog. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you
Project Log

Our project has been going well. Over the past week our group has continued to maintain communication via email. This has been effective because it keeps all group members up-to-date and ensures that each group member is aware of what is going on. Our proposal draft was completed by myself and Dane, and then edited by the rest of the group. We chose to do the draft in this manner because it helped to keep things organized. One thing that our group noticed during our initial conversations in chats, is that when we are all trying to talk about one thing at the same time it gets extremely confusing and disorganized when trying to read and respond to five different comments. For this reason we have found it most effective to have 1-2 persons work on the task, and then have the other 3 edit and critique the work. So far our project is going well and all parts of the project have been submitted in a timely manner.
Individual Usability Study

I have attached my individual usability study. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! This Usability Test is for Google Calender. I created this usability test by setting up a gmail account and creating a personal calender.
Thank you
Project Log Wk. 13

I am very excited to get started on this project because I really see potential for the project. Our group is going to be working with the Purdue Center for Career Opportunities (CCO). We will be introducing the career center to the web 2.0 technology called "Google Calender." We believe Google Calender can greatly benefit the CCO and help them to further their relationship with students and businesses. Google Calender can be used to post job fair information, office hours, resume reviews, etc. A great component of this technology is the fact that you can control the settings of the calender, enabling different users with varying degrees of access.

Attached is my project 2 checklist. Thanks!
Week 12 Project Log

This week we submitted our final components of
project two! The project went very well. Amanda and I maintained regular
communication throughout the week to ensure all final editing was completed and
all documents were completed and submitted on time. An important component of
this week was our communication and time management. Putting together the final
pieces of the project required careful attention to detail, multiple reviews
and critiques of the work, incorporating feedback from each other, our peers, and
professor, and submitting our final copies of our work. Amanda and I worked
very well together during the project and project two provided a great opportunity
for me to see exactly how important and different communications can be with an
online course!

The following attachments and links provide instructions on creating and utilizing a Facebook group for professional development. Facebook groups can be accessed by anyone, at different times, from multiple locations, for varying purposes. Our instructions provide both written and visual information to guide the user through creating a group, editing a group, searching for the group, leaving or deleting the group, and general usage of the group. We hope that you find this information informative and useful. We would appreciate any feedback you have to offer.
Sincerely,

Work Plan

We have almost completed our Illustrated Instructions Project. Currently, we are in the process of making final revisions to the project before submission. Currently, we need to make revisions to the instructions draft. We got some great suggestions from peers, and we made a list of these suggestions. Now we need to go back, incorporate the feedback, and produce the final product!
