Week 16 Blog

jeseger's picture

This was a very productive week as well for Team Google. It was my job this week to complete the user documentation draft for the project. To do this, I altered the draft from its original state so that it would be catered to the needs of the Wildcat Creek Foundation.

On Thursday, April 24, Team Google met in order to compile all of the individual drafts for the user documentation and multimedia presentation. Altogether, this took nearly one hour. Since everyone had all of their work done, it was very easy to compile all of the drafts into one.

We will be meeting next Monday, April 28 in order to complete Project 3.

This week was a very productive week for Team Google. All throughout the week, the whole team worked on their individual usability study. Then on Thursday, April 17, Team Google met to discuss their individual usability studies. After discussing what we thought needed to be in the team usability study, we compiled all of our usability studies into one, final and authoritative usability report. In addition to compiling our team usability report, we also discussed what we needed to do to begin work on the user documentation and multimedia presentation. I (Jon) was put in charge of revising the user documentation. Chris was put in charge of taking some screenshots with Adobe Captivate. Dan was put in charge of coming up with an overall outline of the presentation. Zach is in charge of part of the presentation, and Dayne is in charge of getting some of the content ready for the presentation.

Week 14 Project Log

During week 14, Team Google accomplished many different aspects of Project 3.  On Monday, I was assigned the task of writing up a proposal for Project 3.  This task was not very difficult since we as a team already had in mind exactly what we were to do for the project.  In addition to submitting the proposal draft on Monday, Team Google met on Thursday to discuss the rest of the project.  During the meeting, we revised our proposal and submitted the final revision.  We also talked about what was coming up and how we were to combat it.  We decided that over the weekend, Dayne was to come up with a slide template for the presentation, Chris was to alter the Google Maps instructions to cater to the needs of the Wildcat Creek Foundation, and everyone was to work on their individual usability reports.

For next week, Team Google will be meeting on Thursday to finalize the usability report and to begin work on the multimedia presentation.

Week 13 Project Log

Overall, this week went very well as it pertains to beginning Project 3. On Monday, we were put into groups. The people my Project 3 group are myself, Zach Miller, Dayne Tyner, Chris Snodgrass, and Daniel Kuntz. After being put into our group, I sent out an email introducing myself to the other members that expained what we needed to do next for the project. It was through a series of responses that we decided to set up a chat with Kevin on Tuesday at 5:30pm. It was during this chat that we decided what we were going to do for the project and what our team name would be.
