Whats up, dudes and dudettes. My name is Terry Peterman. I hail from the great state of Texas. My research interests are gender studies, literary and rhetorical theory, and politics of writing.
I hope this course gives me a better understanding how to integrate arete into the polis so that the demos will not be a bunch of voting jack asses. Translated, I would like a better understanding of how the greeks viewed the responsibility of the citizen toward the community so that I can pass this on to my students. I am not into brainwashing the electorate but I would like students to be more socially conscious about their roles in both the community, and democracy.
