Sup studly 30 yr old

So you're all old now huh bud. You're probably saying to yourself, "Who the hell is this?" WELL good friend, this is your 18 year old self sending you a letter. The one thing I want to know is...when you were back in college and reading Purdue statistics on starting pay for a EET grad, was it right? I'm making sure to keep it on the right path for you but did you actually make 55k/year starting by blowing things up? Get back to me on this as I would like to know the answer ASAP. Hows the married life? I know right now I say to myself wait till after college but man it's tempting, I sure hope you waited because but it's sorta killing me at the moment. What about overall health? Has a cure for Crohns been found? Do you still have your metabolism you had during college and high school?

Hello There

Dear Trevor,

This is your 18 year old self talking to you, you may not believe it but just continue reading. So you're finally in fifth grade huh Trevor? You big tough guy, top dog of the elementary school, hows it feel? When you enter sixth grade next year, watch out for the speaker plug for the microphone in the gymnasium, you'll have a nasty scar on your elbow for the rest of your life if you don't. That electrical thing you like so much keep with it. Even though you suck at it right now you'll get much better at it and will turn it into something you'll do the rest of your life.

My Illness, My Lesson

For most of my life leading up to my junior year in high school I was a kid that never got sick. The very rare occasions I did it was generally very high fevers ranging from 105-108, and it just seemed to happen instantly so I never really noticed it. But many times I would ignore signals that my body would tell me and just keep chuggin' on with the day. Well, when junior year of high school came around my life suddenly turned upside down.

My Place of Peace

Throughout my first semester here at Purdue I generally studied in my room, but was quite vulnerable to my computer and television being inches within reach. It wasn't until the last week or two of the first semester that I found the right place. It started with my Com 114 group project, and to make this thing successful several meetings were needed, and luckily I got grouped with a senior that seemed to know what she was doing, and she suggested that we all head over to Hick's Undergrad Library. When I walked into this place I quickly noticed that this place was filled with seperate study centers, but I found my place to be the complete study ROOMS. There are tons of them in the library and if you want complete peace and quiet you can just shut the door and sit down and do whatever you need to do if peace and quiet is what you so desire.

Trevor's amazing first blog

Hey all, my name is Trevor Scanlon and I'm here to tell you a little about myself. I moved here from Ft. Wayne just a little northeast of here so not too big of a move from what I've seen from others(moving from cali must be hell patrick Sticking out tongue). I'm majoring in ECET or Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology.

So, why did I choose Purdue? Well, I came to Purdue because that the engineering programs in general were so superior to most other public colleges, and paying 45k/year to go over to Rose-Hulman was a little overkill. All throughout middle school and high school I found myself a big tinkerer with electronics and I wanted something that did just that, even though I've managed to blow some stuff up a few times WHICH WAS AWESOME and the professors don't get mad because it's expected, always a plus in my book!
