English 420, Business Writing

Last week we met first in a computer lab to discuss what we would do to make a calendar of events for Underground Printing. We also continued to work on our final flier and made a few finishing touches on our rough drafts of our first two fliers. We took into consideration some of the alignment errors which were provided from Professor Hannah in our previous meeting.

Last week we first met with the professor to discuss the work that we had already done. After making some comments on the fliers’ alignments and other small issues, which we quickly corrected, he suggested we think of another piece of work to create for the business. His suggestion was a calendar of events that we agreed would be useful for the client.

We got the contract signed on Monday we are right on schedule and have started creating our various handouts for Underground Printing. So far we have created two different handouts for Grand Prix week. We meet last Friday and again today, Monday, to finish the first two handouts and have planned a meeting for this Wednesday. We are waiting to get feedback from the client on the handouts. We are also going start creating some more generic flyers this week that can be used any time of the year. This will happen after we get feedback on the first two.

This week we decided upon three potential clients that we felt would be a good fit for us in this project. After discussing it for a while we narrowed the field down to: The Egyptian, Underground Printing, and Hungry’s. After consulting with the professor we decided that the best client that could use our help would be the newest one, Underground Printing. They haven’t been in the area long and could use the most advertisement.
