English 420, Business Writing

Overall i think this project went very smooth and we did a great job as a group. I had no idea what a white paper project was when we first started and now Im actually writing one for a different class this semester.

This entire week, we basically just preparing for our presentation on Wednesday. We meet about couple times to practice and see who should talk about what part of the paper. Overall, I though our presentation went pretty well. Now our main concern is to finished up the white paper this weekend, and possibly be able to turn it in by Wednesday.

I was pretty pleased with the final result of our project. We had a difficult area and dgiven our time constraints as a group(exams, work, etc), I felt we did the best we could. I look forward to working with this group again in the SLP and hopefully we produce the same, if not better, results.

This week has been a very challenging week for the white paper project. Our group has barely had a chance to focus on revising for the final draft, this will most likely be looked at more closely later this evening and Monday evening. Most of our interest this week was focused on our presentation. For our multimedia, we decided that a powerpoint presentation would be the best way to present our ideas since the focus of our paper has very little quantifiable information to put into a chart or anything and we have a lot of explanation for our ideas to be presented.

Guys, sorry I missed class today, I had to spend all day on a lab report for another class and am just getting to bed right now (4:30 AM Tuesday). Like I said I have to work tomorrow night, but should have a few hours of break between class and work to devote to the presentation for Wednesday. Let me know where we stand on the presentation after you guys meet tomorrow. I can maybe leave work early around 8, but I can't guarantee that. I'll probably pass out when I get home, but I could have until 3:00pm on Wednesday to finish some things up and prepare and all.

As the project continues, we have been progressing throughout the project slowly but steadily. After meeting with Mark Friday the whole project became a lot more clear to me and to us as a group. We have some more work to do before the final draft deadline and a lot of work to do for our presentation but we will get it done.

So I though that we need to meet Tuesday night after Jon get out of work. I'm thinking we could meet at Hicks computer lab around 10.

This week is kind of overlap between White Paper and Service Learning project. After we got the rough draft back, we started to figure out some way to meet all Mark's requests and try to make charts and figures. On Service Learning project, we figure out 3 places we could work on, but since John has talk to Spurlock, we main concern will be Spurlock.

This week we received our rough drafts back. We are currently searching methods to present our information outside of the standard essay form. Although we will probably just end up adding summary charts at the ends of sections and leaving the drawn out explanation paragraphs in the paper.

So I am scheduled to work Tuesday night from 4-10 and I have another lab report due Tuesday morning. I will do my best to get some work done on a powerpoint or something and attach it to the class site by the time i go to work tomorrow, I will try everything I can to get out of work early or something.
