English 420, Business Writing

Attached is a copy of my cover letter I used for the sales team.

For the sales team we decided it would be best to use Dreamweaver. The Knight Co. decided that they wanted to take their company to the next level and move to internet sales. We must research the competition in the industry because we have to know what other companies are doing and what they are offering. Also, we need to research what information is going to be put on the website, and how the site is going to be structured overall. In doing this, we will be visiting other similar companies websites to get a feel of the competition.

Attached is a copy of my resume.

The two resumes I have chosen are resumes one and three. I chose resume one because I felt that it was an example of a good resume. The first think that I noticed was a good use of white space. The contrast between the writing and white space is very appealing to the eye. Also, I liked the font that they chose because it is simple and classic. I feel that it goes with the flow of the rest of the resume. The descriptions of the work experience is also good because they keep it short and to the point, for example all of the job tasks were only one sentence and one line long.

My name is Felicia Brooks and I am a senior in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. I am from Chandler, which is a small town outside of Evansville, Indiana. After graduation in December I will be staying here to attend Grad School in OLS. Besides taking classes right now I TA for OLS 440- Leading with Integrity and have two jobs, one as an itap lab assistant and the other as an assistant office manager for HORIZONS.

My name is Jonathan Horine, but everyone calls me Jon or B-D (it's a long story). I am a 21 year old junior in the College of Science majoring in Genetics. I am a "townie," but I have also lived in Anderson and Westfield. I work as a receiving clerk for Pay Less (Kroger) unloading and loading trucks. Other than class and work, I spend most of my time working on renovating my family's lake-house, playing and watching sports (including American Gladiators!), playing guitar, or enjoying the social aspect of college life.

My name is Evan, I'm 22 and a senior in retail management. This is my last semester here and I plan to make it my best.

My name is Nathan Goley. I am from Kokomo, Indiana. I am a Junior in Computer and Information Technology majoring in Network Engineering Technology. I have one younger sister who is currently a Junior in high school. This course is required for my major and I hope that I will gain new skills in preparing office documents and e-mails for use in the near future.

Hi everyone. I am Nick Price. I am currently a super-senior in Financial Counseling and Planning in CFS. I'm 23 years old from LaPorte, IN (some might call it the "REGION"). In my spare time I love to listen to music, ride my sportbike, and love watching and playing sports(mainly baseball). I'm pretty easy to talk with and get along with almost everybody.

My name is Brad Baker. I was born and raised in Marion, Indiana. I am currently a fourth year student at Purdue where I am working on a dual major in Biology and Business Management. I look forward to this class in helping me come across more professionally in all my documents that I create.
