English 420, Business Writing

Hey everyone,

For our SLP we are doing some market research for a restaurant and bar called Spurlock's. Could you please take a moment of your time to fill out our survey which is posted on a facebook group.

We met on Friday. We discussed what direction we need to be moving in. I think that our group is on the same page with everything so far. I think that we should write an outline a little bit more in detail of the contents of the white paper. From there we will be able to better divide the work up. This is important because people have different writing styles, and the paper will flow much better if we stick to our specific sections. Finally we talked about adding graphics to every page so that the paper flows and the reader isn’t over whelmed by large amounts of text.

Sorry it is so late I was in Chicago for the last two days and have been sick. I am just starting to feel better. I just wanted to state that this is no reflection on my work ethic or performance for this group project. Thank you for understanding, and know that I am committed to this project.

My name is Ashley Rohrman. I am a senior in Purdue University's School of Nursing and I am scheduled to graduate in May. I am from Zionsville, Indiana which is just north of Indianapolis. Upon graduation I will also be commissioned into the United States Navy Nurse Corps. I hope one day to go back to school and become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I enjoy listening to music and seeing live shows. I also read a lot and love going to movies!

Hi, my name is Tom Lernihan. I am from Barrington, IL a suburb one hour outside of Chicago. I am a junior majoring in Building Construction Management. I have a long line of family at Purdue including my parents, sister, 3 cousins, 6 aunts and uncles, and my little brother, a future boilermaker. My expectations for this class are high and I am hoping it will improve my writing skill and strengthen my resume.

Hi, my name is Timothy Chew, but people just called me TJ. I'm a sophomore in Computer Graphic Technology. I lived in Kokomo, Indiana and went to Northwestern High School. I enjoy playing soccer and golf.

My name is Joe Gerace and I am from Medinah, IL. This is my fourth year at Purdue and I will be staying for another year. I changed my major from engineering to computer graphics technology after my freshman year and have been in CGT ever since. Right now I am a resident assistant at Cary Quad. I also work at Ford Dining Court a couple of shifts a week. I love football and baseball especially the Cubs and Bears. I don't have a job lined up yet but I plan on working on that more this summer.

My name is Steve Holtsclaw and I am a senior studying Management with minors in Marketing and Finance. I am graduating in May and start work with Eli Lilly as a Financial Analyst in July. I'm originally from Carmel, IN and will start work in downtown Indianapolis, although I hope to work abroad at some point in my career. Basketball, football, and golf are three of my main hobbies, and on campus I am very involved with my fraternity, the Interfraternity Council, and Mortar Board among other organizations.

My name is Jonathan Drew, i go by Jon. I live in Hudson, Ohio which is where I have lived for my entire life. I am currently majoring in accounting and management and minoring in finance. After Purdue I am considering law school, hopefully in a city. In this course I hope to improve my business ethics and habits and also I hope to build a resume that can help me get a job for this summer.

My name is Natasha Alreja and I am a freshman at the Krannert School of Management. I am majoring in Accounting and Management. The reason I chose Purdue is because it is a really well known school and its highly ranked Management School. Also, I have a older brother who graduated from Purdue with a Computer Science degree. I am from Slidell, Louisiana and plan on getting an internship this summer to start gaining some work experience.
