English 420, Business Writing

Last week we met first in a computer lab to discuss what we would do to make a calendar of events for Underground Printing. We also continued to work on our final flier and made a few finishing touches on our rough drafts of our first two fliers. We took into consideration some of the alignment errors which were provided from Professor Hannah in our previous meeting.

The next time we met was on a Thursday to finish our part of project which consisted of making a calendar of events. We wanted to not only give him the dates of Greek, sports, and special events, but to provide Underground Printing with the website links of these organizations which could be easily accessed through our document on their business computer. The events are not held on the same exact dates every year so we thought that giving the websites would be helpful.

Finally, last week, we made some Power Point slides which we could use for our presentation on Monday. We wanted to get the point of what we were trying to accomplish through this Service Learning assignment to our fellow classmates. One way of doing this was by providing a short handout of what we had worked on. The handout also gave the students a couple points of view from which we were coming from.
