English 420, Business Writing

This week was a rather disappointing week when it came to our service learning project. We met with out contact at Nine Irish Brothers, Matt, on Monday. I had come down with a very bad case strep throat, so I couldn't attend the meeting. Jake had stepped in as group leader and went to the meeting in my place. We had met earlier that day to complete a few odds and ends on the document for the meeting with Matt. The meeting didn't go very well only because we had forgotten to save the document on Jake's computer. He rescheduled for the following day. That meeting went well and Jake said that Matt really liked our document and what we had done with it. I was still really sick for class on Wednesday, but I was told that Mark liked our documents and we got the go ahead to keep moving with the project. Then, the next day I got an email from my group saying that Matt didn't want to use the program OneNote we had discussed with him and created our document in because it was not compatable with Macs. This threw a wrench into our plans and made us have to find a different program to transfew what we had done to. We are in the process currently of doing this and refining what we have. Hopefully we will be done soon and it will be satisfactory to our client.
