English 420, Business Writing

We met with David Woolums, the owner of Villiage Coffee House, on Friday to get all of his information in order and figure out exactly what we would be doing for him. He explained that he is running for county commisioner in district 2 of Tippecanoe County and needs to get some sort of campaign stuff out there. He explained that despite the fact that he is running for office in district 2, anyone in Tippecanoe County can vote for him, which is something most people don't realize. He also explained that one of his main goals is to fix the housing problems in Indiana. He showed some charts of how after five years of owning a home residents in Lafayette, Indiana are making far less in the value of their home than others in Indiana and across the nation. We decided that two good things to do would be fliers to hand out and also smaller index card sized fliers that would be mailed out to residents of the county. If we have time he would also like us to supply him with a design for a wep page. With this we don't necessarily have to make the webpage but just give a general design that he could use for some bio info and info about his campaign. We are going to decide on a good time to meet with him each week and what kind of deliverables we can have to give him each week.
