This week we finished and presented our whitepaper presentation to the class and the Knight Corporation review board. The presentation went well, and we were able to successfully answer the questions the board asked us. Unfortunately, we forgot to pass out our handouts until after our presentation, but we did have them. The presentation went smoothly other than that. Our Dreamweaver site and the Braun homepage also opened correctly as planned, and the board seemed to better understand some of our ideas with the aid of the visuals.
This week we also finished up the little extra details to make our whitepaper as polished as possible and ready to turn in on Monday. Introduction and conclusion sections (written by myself) were added into the paper by Matt. Additional graphics (found by Evan) were also added into the paper by Matt. Formatting was checked over again and a cover page was added. A basic sources cited/bibliography page will also be added that lists the research sources our group used for the whitepaper project. The whitepaper will be printed and bound by Matt because he has a color printer. Matt also agreed to handle the final details for turning in the whitepaper on Monday, and I agreed to do the work blog and proposal for the service learning project deliverables also due on Monday. By splitting the workload up in this way, we did not have to meet up several more times for just minor details. We also stayed after class to ask Mark some last minute questions about the whitepaper project. We inquired on how to send the paper as a Adobe PDF file, but realized we did not need to do that because we were already planning on turning in the whitepaper project in hardcopy on Monday as scheduled.
Response
As I have discussed in my blog, I ran into a formatting issue with the paper. "Helvetica" apparently doesn't exist in Office 2007 which is what I have on my PC. I changed it and it looks very similar so it won't be a problem. Other than that everything with the white paper is going fine.
