Work Blog 6Hey all, This will be the last work blog posted under the white paper project. Over the last week, we largely devoted our time to preparing our presentation. We decided not to use a standard software such as power point for our presentation. Instead, we opted to use Movie-maker. We each brought in the various pictures/slides that we wanted to incorporate into the presentation, and Brad put the presentation together. Initially, It was a bit challenging to time ourselves in accordance with our slides. Eventually, after a number of of trials, we were able to make our presentation coordinated. We additionally wanted to insert a video clip showing the various stretching exercises that we proposed. In order to do so, we initially borrowed a camera from the tech library at purdue. Unfortunately, the video camera did not come with any recording medium such as a tape/memory stick, and was thus of no use to us. We then decided to use a digital camera, and mount it on top of a table and record the stretching exercise. The presentation ended up going off well - We each remembered our section for the most part, and our parts coordinated well with the flow of the slides. All that is left for this project is for each of us to revise our section of the paper based off of suggestions made by Mr. Hannah, and conglomerate the various pieces of the paper. Akshay

Hey Akshay,
I think our presentation went really well. I agree that we each remembered our parts and the presentation ended up matching almost exactly with what we were saying. It took a lot of practice and editing, but in the end it worked out. As far as the service learning project goes, we have a good basis to start from. We know what we want to do and it's reasonable to get accomplished, so we'll just have to work through everything and see how it turns out.
Hope you have a good weekend,
