English 420, Business Writing

On Wednesday we had our group meetings in class. During this meeting we asked questions about our white paper and came across one main problem in our writing. We were all having problems relating each type of technology back to how it will benefit Knight Corporation. This is a big part of the white paper and we plan on working on that in our white paper revision. Another problem with our white paper was that it was lacking transitions. We were just ending one technology and diving into the next without transitioning between the two. However, we did use transitions between the three main levels, we were lacking to do so within each technology in the individual level groups.
After our meeting we started to plan our presentation and decided what needs to be done before the weekend. Joe, Brad, and Robert all e-mailed me their screenshots for their individual technologies. With these screenshots I put together a Slide Show to provide the audience with visuals. On Sunday we met as a group and worked on the final presentation and practiced. Robert found a great video on you tube dealing with social networking. This video is a great example and will show Knight Corporation what a benefit social networking can be for their company.
Next week, we will be presenting our final technology presentation to the committee and the class on Monday. I feel comfortable with our presentation and hope we do well. Also next week we will be meeting again to work on our final copy of the white paper. We all have a lot of work to do with relating all our information we have provided back to Knight Corporation. Also we need to add images and tables to our final copy. We hope to provide you with another rough draft so we can get more feedback and further improve our white paper.
