Work blog #5![]() This week we spent many hours working to together on our white paper. After combining the four sections together last week, we worked to make them seamless and flowing. We incorporated many of the comments we were given to relate the information more to Knight Corporation. We also clarified many of our statements and elaborated on points that we made. This week we took steps to more thoroughly develop the design of our paper. We decided to make each section stand on its own. Within each section sub-headers serve to break up the flow of the paragraphs making them less tedious to get through and more helpful if referring back to the section. There is a column on the left margin of each page to feature graphics, charts, and diagrams in order to more clarify our statements. The right column then displays the text. Each page has a left-aligned title that advertises the name of the section. The bottom left of each page has a page number and the bottom right contains an identifying statement reading “Knight Corporation Sales Consultation.” We decided we would use a play on shades of green for our color scheme so the text and lines in the headers and footers display a consistent color palette. Also this week we work diligently on our presentation. We each took our sections and transposed them into outline format to put on the slides. After bringing them all together we selected a design template that we thought looked both interesting and professional. We tailored our existing Dreamweaver webpage to accommodate our agenda for this presentation in order to incorporate more technology than just PowerPoint. We also were sure to make references to existing websites that Knight Corporation could reference when designing their newly expanded website and provided links.

I agree that it was a good idea that we made the clarifications to the whitepaper. It made the paper read much more smoothly, and is definitely more audience friendly now, which is important because the Knight Corporation does not need to be bogged down by technical jargon.
