English 420, Business Writing

On Monday we got started on the Service Learning Project. We wrote the group deliverable one for the project and decided that our best idea was to contact the Egyptian Hookah Bar on Northwestern.

On Friday we decided that we were going to use our class time to go to the Egyptian because our schedules are so different and it is difficult to find time to meet with everyone present. When we got there, one of the managers said that the owner would be in later, so we went back later. The owner was not there when we went in and so we decided that maybe we could come in on Saturday or Sunday. Although we did not get to speak to the owner, the managers sounded really interested in what we had to offer. They also said that they think the owner would be interested in working with us. As a group we believe that we will be able to work with the Egyptian Hookah for the project.

This week, we are going to contact the owner and try to decide what we are going to create for the Egyptian. We are also going to write the Formal Proposal and hope that we can get the owner to sign the contract by Friday this coming week.
